Job Description
We seek an experienced energetic mathematics teacher to join our team of dedicated teachers at Woodstock Union High School.
Candidates must be committed to teaching practices that align with the Best Practices in Math the Standards for Math Practice and how students learn mathematics.
Ideal applicants will have the following experience and aptitude:
* to be able to work collaboratively with a team listen to understand colleagues ideas and share thinking and reasoning
* to use an Inquirybased approach with emphasis on students justifying and generalizing in heterogeneous classrooms
* to be reflective willing to continue working on teaching practices
* to focus on student thinking
* to have a strong mathematical knowledge for teaching (this includes not only math content but also pedagogical content knowledge)
