The Role
This is a fulltime Controller / Corporate Finance Director role based in the New York City area. The Director will oversee all corporate financial management activities and financial operations and build scalable processes as we grow. Core areas the Director will manage including accounting and financial reporting financial controls cash forecasting payroll audit and taxes.
The Director will be a critical leadership role on the finance team that will helps us drive optimal financial outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic handson finance professional who thrives in a fastpaced growing environment. Youll work closely with the founders and CFO to ensure the companys financial health while implementing best practices for longterm scalability.

- Accounting and Financial Reporting Audit and Taxes
- Financial Controls for Infrastructure Projects and G&A Expenses
- Cash Flow and FP&A Projection and Management
Detailed Responsibilities
- Prepare draft quarterly financial statements in compliance with GAAP and ensure accurate reporting. Maintain accurate bookkeeping reconcile accounts and ensure financial transparency.
- Identify recommend and implement a system of financial controls to ensure infrastructure projects are within budgets and known expenses specifically improving and directly overseeing the existing Budget > P.O. > Invoice > Payment financial controls system for infrastructure development expenses.
- Implement additional scalable financial systems to support business growth.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow burn rate and AR/AP weekly to maintain financial stability.
- Manage processing of payroll (Gusto) ensure compliance with tax and employment regulations and manage tax obligations.
- Manage corporate insurance policies (D&O general liability cyber etc. ensuring appropriate coverage timely renewals and costeffective decision making in partnership with CFO.
- Work with external teams or internally create and submit yearend 1099 filings sales and other tax filings as needed as well as state and regulatory filings.
- Own relationship with external auditors and lead annual audit process from start to finish.
- Work with Corporate Finance Analyst and CFO on submitting periodic capital calls with Equity investors.
- Work with CFO on development of annual budget forecasting.
- Act as Deputy CFO in certain situations.
- Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
- 7 10 years of experience in accounting/finance with at least 3 5 years in a leadership role (Controller Finance Manager Director VP etc. at an infrastructure or real estate platform directly managing 1. the production of financial statements/accounting and 2. project and financial controls.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel FP&A tools and business intelligence dashboards.
- Excellent organizational problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required
- Highly organized inquisitive individual who always challenges the status quo and is open to new ideas and considerations.
Preferred/Competitive Qualifications:
- CPA
- Masters Degree in Accounting or MBA
- Renewable Energy and Cleantech experience a plus
- Experience in venturebacked startups or private equityfunded businesses is a plus

- Compensation: $150000 $200000 target salary range plus bonus.
