Qualifications/Experience:
Teaching license in the areas of School Social Worker or School Counselor or Special Education or K8 Teacher is required in addition to experience working with behavior in an education setting.
Successful background check required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught; thorough knowledge of elementary secondary or special education principles practices and procedures; thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching; thorough knowledge of District rules regulations and procedures; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff students and parents.

Specific Tasks:
Collaborate with professional staff and teachers to develop positive behavior interventions and supports for students.
Use conflict resolution deescalation intervention and redirection when addressing student behaviors
Assist in the identification and development of individualized/behavioral interventions intended to change behavior using evidence based strategies to change behaviors
Coordinate and facilitate the schools behavior intervention programs.
Collaborate with teachers individually to identify the behavior needs of students to set learning goals and targets and to problem solve with teachers to develop best practices for continuous growth in behavior.
Assist teachers with the collection of data analysis of data results and supports the sharing of findings with all staff.
Review student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate behavior intervention and support services.
Teach behavior interventions to either small groups of students or individual students daily using researchbased strategies and resources.
Assist students using resources related to behavior programs.
Meet regularly with the classroom teachers school counselor MTSS Coordinator and Federal Programs Coordinator to plan behavior instruction that correlates with individual students needs.
Attend professional development to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content especially in the area of behavior.
Record and analyze intervention data including progress monitoring and intervention adjustments.
Submit records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Perform other duties and responsibilities related to behavior as assigned by the supervisor or required by state and federal grant requirements.
