A passionate leader with strong wine expertise the ideal candidate combines warmth professionalism and a sharp eye for detail.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager the Sommelier will coordinate all front of house food and beverage operations including meeting spaces bar restaurant breakfast room and room service ensuring they are up to the standards of the Group. This role places a strong emphasis on elevating the wine and beverage experience blending confident leadership with a genuine passion for hospitality.
YOUR ROLE
- Oversee service staff across the restaurant bar meeting spaces and room service
- Lead and manage the wine program including curation of the wine list cellar management and supplier relations
- Deliver expert tableside wine service and personalized food and wine pairing recommendations
- Mentor and train frontofhouse staff with a focus on wine education pairing techniques and elevated service standards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B Manager to align wine selections with seasonal menus
- Organize and host wine tastings pairing dinners and special beverage events
YOUR PROFILE
- Formal wine education/certification (e.g. WSET Court of Master Sommeliers) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 23 years of supervisory or sommelier experience in a fine dining or boutique hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to increase guest satisfaction and beverage sales through strategic programming.
- Knowledge of food hygiene safety and current licensing/employment laws.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
