Reporting to the Manager Pension Plans the incumbent is responsible for calculating retirement benefits pension monthly payment activations and generating other reports or statements pertaining to pension plan administration.
Provides information to plan members about their rights and responsibilities with respect to the pension plan and responds to inquiries or complaints. Produces and analyses the monthly benefit payments yearend reconciliations and prepares information for the financial statements for approval by the Pension Plans Team Leader and for wider use by other members of the pension team in their functions.
Prepares and submits all monthly payment and lump sum payment authorizations to the Plan Trustee and prepares analysis and financial reports or statements pertaining to pension plan administration.
Ensures effective administration of pension plan enrolment in accordance with the Pension Plan text collective agreements administrative policies and related legislation and regulations.
Provides a high level of customer service with diplomacy compassion tact efficiency and flexibility in order to better serve the needs of a challenging clientele.
Supports various projects initiatives and daily and annual activities of the pension sector by ensuring that the necessary information materials logistical details and records are accurate and timely.

The rating is determined by a proficiency test designed by the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute.
