Job Description

Introduction


Trap Pond was once the site of a large freshwater wetland and still hosts the countrys northernmost natural stand of baldcypress trees. The pond was created in the late 1700s to power a sawmill used in harvesting the baldcypress.

Summary Statement

A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Trap Pond State Park which may include the following:

1. Revenue Supervisor: $17.00 Duties include overseeing park revenue areas and other financial aspects of areas. This will include but is not limited to relieving staff creating and delivering deposits and assisting with financial audits.

2. Campground Registrar: $15.00 responsible for all aspects of camp registration database management and camp store operations.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors weekends evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.

Must be able to demonstrate responsibility dependability and good communication skills.
May assist in operating boat rental facility fee booth camp store.
Work around Trap Pond (water).
Complete paperwork associated with sales at multiple locations within the park.
Collect appropriate fees.
May register campers into computer database and generate reports as needed.
Maintain a positive duties are required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

Revenue Supervisor:
1. Experience working with money and making change.
2. Experience with financial record keeping.

Campground Registrar:
customer service experience.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a nonpension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
