Use your critical thinking and financial analysis skills to support administering the funding facilities for the delivery of the EnergyCos multi billion dollar capital program

  • Ongoing fulltime role at 35 hours per week plus FlexTime
  • Sydney location
  • Hybrid working from home and office supported
  • Salary range from $125693 to $138510 plus super and leave loading


EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coalfired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Finance and Operations team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Financial Analyst Transmission and Acceleration Facility (TAF) and Regulatory to provide modelling and analytical support to the Senior Manager TAF and Regulatory in managing and overseeing the TAF cashflow management other funding and regulatory submissions.

This is a unique opportunity to join our Finance and Operations team to support delivery of projects to achieve NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap to transform NSW electricity system into one that is affordable clean and reliable. As a Senior Financial Analyst TAF and Regulatory you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliant yet effective use of the TAF which is the key funding mechanism for EnergyCos major project development costs.

About the Transmission Acceleration Facility (TAF)
The TAF is a revolving capital facility with the purpose of accelerating the development of transmission infrastructure and other enabling projects required to meet the Roadmap objectives for affordable and reliable supply of energy. The TAF operates to bridge the gap between when costs are incurred by EnergyCo and when they are recovered from network operators. TAF governed by the TAF Investment Committee is a $1.22 billion financing facility established to enable fast tracking and derisking the delivery of critical transmission infrastructure by providing revenue certainty for projects and investors.

About You
To be successful in the role you are a skilled financial analyst with a strong ability to extract insights from complex data sets and translate them into meaningful business recommendations. With expertise in data analysis business modelling preparing and delivering financial reports you have a proven track record of supporting decisionmaking through delivering cashflow forecasting and performance reporting. Your advanced Excel skills along with experience such PowerBI and excel automation allows you to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency. You also bring a strong understanding of NSW Government finance legislation policies and Australian Accounting Standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Commerce or Business and membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Charter Accountants Australia New Zealand (or studying towards).

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Governments
Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap which aims to transform the states electricity system into one that is cheap clean and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the States first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs) which are located in the CentralWest Orana New England South West HunterCentral Coast and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities investors and industry to investigate plan recommend and coordinate generation storage and network infrastructure projects.
