EY is seeking an experienced and ambitious consultant with a track record in a configuration role in Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (Oracle FCC) implementations to join our Finance Business Consulting team.
You will be part of a growing and a diverse team that combines business implementation systems integration and financial modelling capabilities working across the Financial Services market. You will gain experience working across the spectrum of Finance Transformation and be part of us taking our business to the next level embracing exciting advances in technology and data to solve our clients business challenges.
This position demands a highly adaptable and flexible individual capable of navigating a diverse range of client issues as the nature of the programs work is varied. The ideal candidate should be at ease assuming various delivery roles and tackling the associated challenges inherent to this role.
The opportunity
The Finance Business Consulting team is looking for a Senior Consultant with a delivery track record in Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close implementations (Oracle FCC) who can leverage business and technologybased solutions to deliver outcomes for our clients.
We are looking for an experienced individual highly motivated professional and passionate about what they do and who will further add to the continued success of our team.
Prior consulting experience is a preferred requirement or delivering on Finance Transformation programmes in the Financial Services Industry. An understanding of Financial Services Organisations Target Operating Model Process & Controls Organisation Design Change Management and Business Readiness is needed.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior consultant you will be working alongside senior management in large scale Oracle EPM implementations in the Financial Consolidation space. You will also support business and practice development of the Finance Business Consulting team. You will be a trusted business advisor to our clients with a Finance technology systems implementation background.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the technical delivery of large and complex end to end Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) implementation projects across the solution development lifecycle of the engagement including:
- Support the translation of clients technical and accounting requirements to Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close functional and technical solution design.
- Configure components in Oracle Financial consolidation and Close.
- Support the documentation of the solutions test strategy and draft test scenarios and technical testing scripts.
- Support end user training and the knowledge transfer of the solution to technical client teams.
- Support the deployment of the solution to production and provide post golive support.
- Guide more junior team members.
Skills and attributes for success
The ideal candidates will possess knowledge of Finance Transformation with proven prior experience on a technical configuration role with Oracle FCC implementation.
They must have excellent communication skills a high level of commitment the ability to handle pressure and demonstrate leadership and problemsolving abilities in complex financial environments. Additionally familiarity with Finance Technology applications a commitment to quality delivery and proficiency in PowerPoint Excel are essential along with the capability to manage senior stakeholder relationships effectively.
To qualify for the role you must have some or all of the following:
- Experience of at least one end to end implementation Oracle Finance Consolidation & Close (Oracle FCC) implementations.
- Expertise with solution configuration of Oracle Finance Consolidation & Close (Oracle FCC) implementations preferably within the Financial Services sector.
- Exposure to Chart of Accounts & Data Model Design.
- Prior consulting experience.
- Exposure to the EPM lifecycle including planning budgeting and forecasting enterprise wide KPI & reporting framework profitability/cost analysis and experience with other EPM technologies would be desirable.
