As the Senior Consultant Employment Knowledge youll provide expert practical advice on employment frameworks policies and legislation to HR professionals and business leaders across Qantas. Youll be responsible for interpreting and applying enterprise agreements modern awards and employment law conducting legal research and supporting the delivery of accurate consistent guidance. This includes drafting and maintaining knowledge articles forms employment contracts letters and advisory content in collaboration with key stakeholders. Youll also help implement and monitor processes to ensure timely compliant outcomes while working closely with teams across People Services to support knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.

Youll have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Employment Law Industrial Relations or Contract Law
  • 3 years experience in employment law industrial relations or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex industrial instruments and HR policies.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting clear and practical employment advice and documents.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in aviation or a highly regulated industry (desirable).
