Job Description
Come be part of a team that will directly shape and influence the future growth of Amazon. The SEO team (Scheduling Evaluation Outcome) is part of the Hiring Software Delivery organization building the systems used by recruiters and interviewers to help Amazon scale its hiring processes. SEOs north star is to evaluate bar raising Amazonians with efficiency (reduced time and cost to fill) and accuracy (increased hiring quality).

Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all deliverables.
Work with the product managers to refine the business and functional requirements and translate those into technical specifications.
Work closely with senior engineers to design implement and deploy applications that impact the candidate application experience.
Contribute to the management and of project plans and delivery commitments;
Own the delivery of an integral piece of a system or application.
Create and execute appropriate quality plans test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
Mentor and coach other engineers.
A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer you will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including building an architectural vision and roadmap advocating for our customers clarifying requirements applying design patterns development documentation testing and continuously improving our operations. You will leverage Amazons industry leading technologies to build systems at scale. You will use your strong verbal and written communication skills to mentor engineers on the team partner with other engineers product managers and UX designers to help drive business decisions and promote the operational excellence of the system we operate.
About the team
SEO domain is split in three subdomains: Scheduling Evaluation and Outcome. This role will be focusing specifically on the Evaluation and Outcome part of the Amazon hiring funnel enabled by Amazon Hire product. This includes interviewer feedback debrief decisions crossfunnel candidate dispositions and interviewer eligibility and training. The Evaluation and Outcome north star is to raise the bar with every hire.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
