Open Rank Position (Tenured/Tenure Track) for Clinician Scientist in Alzheimers Disease
at Wake Forest University School of Medicine
We seek an applicant with an M.D. and an established record of publications funding and experience in clinical trials and clinical research in Alzheimers disease and related disorders for a tenuretrack faculty position (Assistant Associate or Full Professor). U.S. licensed candidates with relevant experience in Alzheimers disease and related disorders from all clinical specialty areas will be considered (i.e. Geriatrics Neurology or Psychiatry).
Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM) has designated Alzheimers disease as one of six prioritized research focus areas which also include Aging Neurosciences Diabetes/Obesity Cardiovascular Disease and Health Equity. Wake Forest University School of Medicine is home to several highly collaborative NIHfunded Centers including an Alzheimers Disease Research Center Pepper Older Adult Independence Center and a Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

The successful candidate will have the extraordinary opportunity to lead efforts focused on expanding the reach of the existing successful national Alzheimers clinical trials program at WFUSM throughout the Atrium/Advocate health system in collaboration with our NCCT. The candidate will also play a leadership role in clinical research conducted by the WFUSM NIHfunded Alzheimers Disease Research Center of Excellence one of only 35 such Centers creating an immediate connection to Alzheimers programs at premier academic institutions across the nation.
