Job Title: Project Friendship Program Specialist
Classification:Student Employee (nonexempt)

Pay Rate: Standard CBWS Hourly Rate $15/hr). This position is subject to an annual wage increase.
IMPORTANT: STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STATE OR FEDERAL WORK AWARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY BASED WORK STUDY (CBWS) POSITIONS. Student CBWS work eligibility is subject to change due to work award redeterminations over the summer. This means even students who were a chosen applicant for the position may be ineligible to work if they do not have a state/federal work award come Fall 2025. Students who are unsure if they currently have a state or federal work award please contact before applying to find out what type of work award you have.
Description of the Position: The Project Friendship Program Specialist will have the unique opportunity of learning the organization backwards and forwards. You will work oneonone with the Executive Director and will receive great experience in the nonprofit sector. Work will be completed oncampus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff volunteers vendors and media
- Gather and analyze data from organization volunteer tracking software and database
- Design images and content for monthly email blasts
- Create compelling social media posts and promotions
- Create a regular mentor meet up program
- Actively be involved with planning the large group activities
- Assist ED in grant writing and grant evaluations
- Involvement in marketing strategy and campaign development
- Special projects and event planning
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Junior or Senior with strong academic record
- Strong research and analytical abilities ability to extend knowledge and skills to the topic at hand and to conceptualize and frame relevant questions
- Evidence of effectiveness working independently demonstrated selfstarter
- Learns quickly
- Ability to interact well with all kinds of people
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with Google Drive
- Familiar with Adobe Suite preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication
