Job Description

IT Project Coordinator

18-month hybrid contract in Toronto for an experienced IT Project Coordinator with strong portfolio management skills. Work across seven business functions deliver key reporting to support the CIO and lead PMO processes using Excel Jira and Microsoft Project. Strategic exposure in a well-supported role.

Incorporated Business Rate: $37-44 per hour.
18-month contract.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid work: in-office Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Keep portfolios up to date across seven business functions.
Prepare and deliver monthly reporting to support the CIO and overall operational health status.
Ensure compliance with internal delivery processes and PMO standards.
Create pivot tables and status reports using Microsoft Excel.

What you will need to succeed:

5 years of experience in portfolio management or project coordination.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and data analysis.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project Jira Asana or Trello.
Experience with documentation and technical writing.
Knowledge of risk management financial management scheduling planning quality management and change management.
Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams Slack or Zoom.
Experience working with risk and compliance tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams.
Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
High level of customer focus and empathy.
Self-motivated and proactive mindset.
Emotional intelligence and good judgment.

Nice to have:

Experience with cloud platforms and database management (e.g. SQL).
Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate.
Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
