Job Description
We are currently hiring for casual / parttime health care security guards who are willing to work in Abbotsford B.C. If you have at least 6 months of security experience and youre looking to advance your security career develop new skills and take on new responsibilities apply now!
- Patrol inside and outside the hospital to ensure the safety of people and property while maintaining order and deterringcrime
- Protect patients member of the public hospital staff and public assets
- Enforce safety procedures and standards
- Escort and assistpatients visitors and staffas needed
- Intervene during emergency / crisis situations
- Operate video surveillance equipment to supervise activity withinthe facility
- Report any abnormality defect risk of fire accident theft and/or other abnormal situations to the immediate supervisor and put in place the necessary procedures to reduce the associated risk
- Write daily incident reports
- Perform any other tasks requested by your supervisor

- Valid British Columbia security licence
- High school diploma or equivalence
- OFA2 (asset)
- Flexible availability
- Able to respond quickly to emergency response calls

- Physically capable of handling altercations and challenging patient interactions
- The ability to verbally deesclate behaviour
- Demonstrates good judgment and team spirit
- Strong communication skills & excellent written skills
- Ability to work well in a challenging and dynamic environment
