Job Description
In this role you will be creating firmware for SELs flagship revenue and power quality meters that play a critical role in SEL energy management solutions. You will have the ability to work with multifunctional teams and create innovative solutions thatenhancethe worlds critical power infrastructure.
As a Senior Firmware Engineer a typical day might include the following:
Lead the specification architecture design implementation and test of firmware/software systems.
Understand hardware andfirmwareinteractions and collaborate with Hardware Engineers.
Develop requirementsdesigns tests firmware anddocumentation.
Lead and mentor Engineers and Technicians.
Serve as a technical contact for internal and external customers.
Attend industry technical meetings and conferences as needed.
This job might be for you if you:
Possess a B.S. in Computer ScienceComputer EngineeringElectrical Engineering or equivalent
Understand hardware FPGA andfirmwareinteractions and collaborate with Hardware RTL and Software Engineers.
Have 10 years experience in one or more the following areas:
Embedded systems firmware development
realtime firmware design
C C and assembly
object oriented design
object oriented languages (C C#
Embedded Linux systems development
Scripting languages
RTL and FPGA
digital communications and signal processing
3phase electric power systems
Industrial controls
Digital and analog circuitry

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Engineer $100900.00 $168100. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and jobrelated factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
