Job Description
Vanguard has a Public Relations Consultant Senior Specialist opportunity open in our corporate headquarters in Malvern PA (Greater Philadelphia area). You will serve as a senior spokesperson for Vanguard. Youll counsel stakeholders and lead effective public relation strategies and content to promote and safeguard Vanguards image. This person serves as subject matter expert in both public relations and area of focus.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads public relations strategy for Vanguards Corporate priorities. Partners with relevant stakeholders across the enterprise to establish priorities align work objectives and deliverables and execute PR plans.
- Translates enterprise and business strategies and initiatives into messaging and content. Prioritizes communications and messages to maximize impact on target external audiences including the general public customers crew governmental bodies and suppliers and the media.
- Protects Vanguards reputation through all public relations communications across various channels and platforms. Coordinates governance activities with senior leadership and ensures appropriate implementation.
- Strategizes and drives the development of public relations agendas with highquality communications material across a variety of formats platforms and channels. Applies Vanguards style usage and brand standards to ensure consistency.
- Develops and strengthens working relationships with key influencers and executives across the organization and in the industry to support public relations and business objectives.
- Drives the impact of the collective public relations communication strategy. Ensures the of all phases of the communications process including conception implementation and measurement. Partners closely with senior leaders to advise and develop public relations strategies that meet current and future needs of Vanguard.
- Balances external practice with Vanguard brand. Encourages adoption as appropriate. Serves as Vanguards authority on industry best practices emerging trends and their validity in Vanguards environment.
- Spearheads continuous improvements in Vanguards public relations strategy and implementation. Measures and monitors public relations satisfaction and makes recommendations based on feedback gathered from various sources.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years related work experience with at least three years of industry experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Public Relations degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
