We are seeking a talented Optical DWDM/OTN Testing Engineer with expertise in Python automation to join our team. As part of our cuttingedge technology division you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our optical communication systems through automated testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Design develop and implement automated test scripts using Python for Optical DWDM/OTN systems with a strong emphasis on ODU/OTU or lambdalevel switching.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define test strategies requirements and test plans incorporating ODU/OTU or lambdalevel switching considerations.
Configure and operate testing equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers power meters and traffic generators focusing on lambdalevel granularity.
Perform comprehensive testing of DWDM/OTN systems including signal quality analysis BER testing and protocol compliance verification at the ODU/OTU or lambda level.
Analyze test results identify issues and work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve them with specific attention to lambdalevel switching functionality.
Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and scripts incorporating ODU/OTU or lambdalevel switching capabilities.
Document test procedures results and any relevant findings with detailed insights into lambdalevel switching performance.
Requirements:
Engineering Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
Extensive experience in Optical DWDM/OTN testing with indepth knowledge of ODU/OTU or lambdalevel switching concepts.
Proficiency in Python programming language for test automation with a focus on developing scripts tailored to lambdalevel testing scenarios.
Handson experience with test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers power meters and traffic generators with a specific emphasis on lambdalevel granularity.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills particularly in diagnosing and resolving issues related to lambdalevel switching functionality.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with the capacity to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
Prior experience with network testing automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
