Job Description

Overview

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate compliant and efficient payroll operations across the organization including multistate payroll tax compliance data analysis system support and reporting. This position plays a critical role in streamlining processes ensuring regulatory adherence and supporting payrollrelated projects in a complex healthcare environment. Candidate must reside near Enola PA as this is a hybrid based role.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable federal state and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage multistate payroll tax registrations monitor payment services and research tax variances or discrepancies
  • .Data Analysis: Analyze payroll data to identify trends potential issues and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Auditing and Reconciliation: Conduct payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute internal and external payroll reports including regulatory submissions (e.g. BLS OEWS).
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process enhancements to increase payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • System Support: Support payroll system upgrades testing and implementations to ensure functionality and data integrity.
  • Collaboration: Partner with HR Finance Legal and other departments to maintain accurate payroll data and ensure smooth operations.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and assistance to payroll team members as needed.
  • Special Projects: Lead or support payroll initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Training:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Human Resources or related field (preferred)
  • 46 years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a senior or analytical role
  • Experience with multistate payroll and tax compliance
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g. UKG ADP) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and healthcarespecific regulatory reporting
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills

Experience:

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation
  • Experience in a multihospital or healthcare system environment
