Competitive Salary: $65000$70000 gross annually based on previous experience & education
Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine or Senior Chefs responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide professional and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues conducting shift briefings and maintaining open communication with venue managers.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation follow hotel recipes and standards and enhance food products through menu development and presentation.
- Balance operational administrative and staffing needs including scheduling coaching and mentoring culinary colleagues.
- Manage inventory and ordering through Birchstreet maintain proper food levels and oversee labor productivity.
- Handle disciplinary actions assign daily workloads and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Required experience:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Certification or international equivalency
Or
- Completion of Rouxbe Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2. Receiving certification in both with a grade greater than 90 and 54 months 7020 hours) experience in relevant workplaces
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- 34 years of culinary supervisory/leadership experience preferably in a luxury or large kitchen environment.
- Safe Food Handling Certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Physically able to lift carry and pull up to 50 lbs; constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Comfortable working with kitchen equipment including ovens stoves mixers fryers steamers and freezers.
