About the Position

The Producers Guild of America is seeking a Senior Arbitrations Coordinator to join our team to assist in managing thesubmission of films and television content for the Producers Guild Awards and Producers Mark (p.g.a.. As a Senior Arbitrations Coordinator you will play a vital role in organizing every aspect of the arbitration process that determines the eligibility of individuals for producing honors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for the entertainment industry and a keen eye for detail.

Compensation Range Reporting Structure and Work Schedule

  • Compensation Range: $50000 $60000 annually commensurate with skills and experience.
  • This is a fulltime nonexempt position
  • Reports to Corporate Counsel/Director of Arbitrations
  • Location: Los Angeles. The Guild works on a hybrid schedule of inoffice on Tues Wed and Thurs and remote on Mon and Fri.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Senior Arbitrations Coordinator break down follows and include working closely with other members of the department (Note: The Corporate Counsel/Director of Arbitrations and/or Guild leadership may modify the following responsibilities and/or percentages as appropriate to meet Guild priorities):

  • Awards/Producers Mark Submission Process Management 75
  • Legal Document Management and Coordination 20
  • Special Projects and Initiatives 5

Awards/Producers Mark Administration

  • Assist the Paralegal & Manager of Arbitrations with administration of the Awards/Producers Mark process in a timely manner
    • Gather and organize information for the Guilds administration of the Producers Mark and awards eligibility processes redacting sensitive information prior to any arbitrations
    • Solicit and track information related to submissions
    • Assist the Paralegal & Manager of Arbitrations with scheduling arbitrations as appropriate
  • Answer questions about the submission process
  • Administer the Producing Partnership Process
    • Collect petitions from producers
    • Prepare materialsfor and liaise withProducing Partnership Panel
    • Draft determinations and maintain records of determinations and dissolutions

General Legal Administration

  • Assist in the drafting and management of documents
  • Maintain the Arbitrations Calendar
  • Update the List of Arbiters as necessary
  • Work with Corporate Counsel and Paralegal & Manager of Arbitrations to manage yearly revisions for the Producers Mark and Awards website

Special Projects and Initiatives

  • Work with other members of the legal team on special projects and initiatives including awards eligibility and ballots as needed

Skills/Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years of legal and/or administrative experience preferably within the entertainment industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
  • Superior writing skills with expert level knowledge of English grammar spelling and punctuation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in managing data and generating reports.
  • Solid analytical and computer skills including expertise in Adobe Excel Word and other Microsoft Office programs as well as the Google suite.
  • Strong oral communication skills to engage with influential producers staff and interns effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to a team.
  • Unwavering ethics and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
  • Positive selfmotivated attitude.
