Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

Reports To: Human Resources Supervisor

FLSA Status: NonExempt

Pay Rate: $18/hr.

Schedule: TuesdaySaturday 10 AM 6:30 PM

Benefits: Medical Dental AD&D



Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Assistant provides primary support to the Human Resources Supervisor and plays a key role in administrative and staffing operations.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical technical administrative and office support to the HR Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the HR Supervisor on employee and temporary staffing needs.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor in all areas.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate personnel records.
  • Facilitate timely and effective communication across all levels of staff.
  • Coordinate with onsite temporary staffing agencies to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll and employee benefits processing.
  • Research compile and analyze data for special HR projects and reports.
  • Track compliance for new hires and pay ranges.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all I9 forms.
  • Maintain current Distribution Center organizational charts.
  • Recommend and maintain procedures for personnel transactions and reporting data changes.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with various duties as needed.
  • Support the administrative team with special projects as assigned.
  • Set up conference calls and maintain contact lists.
  • Track and maintain daily and monthly HR reports.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work any shift as needed to support business operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources preferred.
  • Excellent communication writing and computer skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.

Computer Skills:

  • Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment with varying temperatures.
