The Manager Operational Excellence within the MDCP Focus Factory is responsible for partnering crossfunctionally across the focus factory to develop capability in Operational Excellence methodologies to support the improvement of performance of the operation.
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Focus Factorys operations. In this dynamic position you will lead a team that will coach and develop colleagues in Lean and Six Sigma as well as the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence IMEx elements. You will have the opportunity to teach and coach Pfizers M1 Program Yellow Belt through certification sustain and improve the Focus Factorys ways of working and align the team around continuous improvement and performance goals. As part of supporting projects with changes and improvements you will provide change management guidance and communication to support area colleagues.
In this role you will also establish and track key metrics assist with goal setting and serve as the DOC administrator for the Focus Factory. As part of these metrics you will have processes for setting and updating line standards to continue to demonstrate and allow the optimal scheduling and production of the manufacturing lines and areas.
This role will report directly into the MDCP Focus Factory Lead.

What You Will Achieve
Lead team of Operational Excellence colleagues
Partner crossfunctionally across the focus factory for strategic alignment
Develop operational excellence capability for colleagues within the Focus Factory
Establish focus factory operational performance T2 metrics and methods to ensure that the metrics are tracked on an ongoing basis as well as coaching the setting of check metrics for CI projects as needed
Support Focus Factory Lead with managing T2 metrics
Coach T2 on IMEx Elements and Roles and Responsibilities
Support the standards setting process for the lines and/or areas and ensure that standards are properly set within all systems
Assist with goal setting process for focus factory lead
Focus factory DOC SME and administrator
Teach and coach Pfizers M1 Program Yellow Belt through certification
Sustain Focus Factory IMEx design
Coach all IMEx elements within the focus factory
Provide change management and guidance to support area colleagues
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
BA/BS with 4 years of relevant experience OR an MBA/MS with 2 years of relevant experience OR a PhD or JD with 0 years of relevant experience OR an associate degree with 8 years of experience OR a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated leadership and the capability to handle challenging situations.
Demonstrated ability to align stakeholders to move projects forward
Strong understanding of IMEx elements and standards
Ability to teach coach and mentor others to develop organizational capability
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Continuous improvement mindset
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a GMP environment.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma.
PMP certification
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The Operational Excellence Lead must be able to multitask across multiple capabilities and functions handling multiple competing priorities and requirements.
They need to manage and coach colleagues which requires strong leadership and communication skills.
The role involves continuous improvement projects requiring analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
The Operational Excellence Lead must be capable of performing site and functional responsibilities which may involve physical presence on the manufacturing floor.
NONSTANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to support and manage a 24/7 operation which may involve working nonstandard hours or shifts.
There may be a need for travel to different sites or locations to ensure alignment and support for various projects and initiatives.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
