POSITION TITLE: ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST
LOCATION: PCSSD Central Office
QUALIFICATIONS: Arkansas Licensure in any Secondary Area
REPORTS TO: Director of Counseling Services
JOB GOAL: Coordinate district level testing for all students as required by State and District mandate. Collect pertinent data and prepare reports as required by the State and district coordinate and provide training for school test coordinators and provide testrelated data to District administration as needed.Complete the detail and written work essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the office of Counseling Services and Assessment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate State Federal and Districtmandated testing.
- Help plan and organize all activities in connection with the district assessment for the District.
- Facilitate the administration of testing; including acquisition of testing materials and provide school based training regarding procedures for testing.
- Receive inspect count number and distribute testing materials when necessary; package tests and manuals and prepare communications for staff for each test administration and distribute to appropriate schools according to established schedules; compose type and distribute reports and other correspondence related to the testing process.
- Maintain the security of testing materials related data and confidential student information.
- Assure tests are prepared for processing and assure required student information is complete and accurate; obtain and complete missing information; coordinate with Information Technologies to resolve errors questions and other issues.
- Attend training at the District and State levels to keep current with compliance and State regulation issues for State mandated testing.
- Monitor and report testing compliance issues to Director of Counseling and ADE.
- Participate in job related professional development and training.
- Assist with budgets for counseling and testing.
- Administer and process requisitions for Director of Counseling counselors and assessment.
- Maintain records of expenditures for Director of Counseling counselors and assessment.
- Prepare manuals and/or reports for the Districts documentation of assessment counseling and concurrent credit as required.
- Coordinate and setup training sites for test and counselor trainings.
- Maintain required conference and travel records for the Director of Counseling Services
- Assist with the coordination of summer school documentation as needed.
- Ability to lift stoop and bend up to 40 pounds.
- Perform others duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range:Teacher Salary Schedule.
(Placement depends upon education and experience.
Length of Contract: 215 contract days
EVALUATION:
Job performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the PCSSD Board Policy on Certified Personnel.
