POSITION SUMMARY

Preserves the good condition and functionality of premises.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Collaborates professionally within CHS departments to ensure quality functionality and condition of premises.
  • Practices autonomy when making decisions that are appropriate for independent judgement and consults Manager of Transportation and Maintenance when necessary.
  • Performs corrective and preventative maintenance tasks of great variety with a professional and practical mind and attention to detail.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Accepts and carries out special assignments or duties when requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  2. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision night vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  3. The employee may be required to bend stoop and reach overhead on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree or technical certificate from an accredited college in a related field. 3 years of maintenance experience. An equivalent combination of experiences and education may be considered. OSHA certified preferred.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Must have valid drivers license.
  • Must provide proof of personal valid vehicle insurance
