Job Description
Position Title: East Lab Teacher/Coach (Environmental and Spatial Technology)
Campus: Bobby G. Lester Elementary (BGLE)
Reports To: Building Principal
Contract: School Year 190 Days)
Closing Date: Until Filled
*Coaching position will be based on district needs and what your coaching expirence is in.
SUMMARY:To provide teamwork responsibility accountability and personal initiative which givesstudents confidence that they can learn and use technology to solve real world problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inservice to aid in implementing projectbased learning will be provided.
- Inservice addressing transition to a facilitator of learning by motivating students to learn and to solve problems with the aid of technology will be provided.
- Provide an instructional program to meet the needs of all students.
- Create a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
- Prepare for class assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
- Establish learning objectives consistent with an appraisal of student needs requirements of Arkansas learning standards and curriculum frameworks and knowledge of human growth and development.
- Adhere to the curriculum pacing guide in order to maximize student learning.
- Plan for and utilize instructional methods resources and evaluation techniques which motivate and enable each student to achieve learning objectives.
- Take all necessary and safety precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and District policy.
- Develop reasonable Classroom behavior rules and procedures and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
- Make provision for being available to students and parents for educationrelatedpurposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
- Establish relationships with colleagues students parents and community whichreflect recognition of and respect for every individual.
- Participate cooperatively with the appropriate administrator in the evaluation process.
- Technical training related to computeraided design design engineering architectural visualization and geoprocessing technology will be provided.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Summer training required.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/EXPERIENCE:Must have a valid Arkansas teaching license. LicenseCode 528 (Computer Science) or any other license code related to technology is preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of preemployment background checks. Appropriate personal and professional conduct at all times around students other staff members and the general public.
