The Marblehead High School JV Field Hockey Coach is responsible for leading and motivating a team of high school players to practice regularly compete in games and attend fundraising activities. The coach is expected to teach players various Field Hockey skills and strategies. In addition the coach will promote teamwork sportsmanship and respect commitment integrity and responsibility. Below are the essential qualifications requirements and responsibilities of a JV Field Hockey Coach:QUALIFICATIONKnowledge of Field Hockey techniques strategy and communication and people to mentor and motivate athletes providing guidance feedback and support to help them achieve their goalsOrganizational and management skills including the ability to schedule and plan practices and with Field Hockey rules and safety playing and or coaching Field HockeyLeads by example regarding the promotion of sportsmanshipMust complete all Massachusetts coaching requirements which includes the NFHS Concussion CertificateMust complete Marblehead School District requirements: Fingerprinting CORI Background checkMust complete CPR/AED and First Aid CertificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEyehand mindeye coordination physical dexterity and the ability to bend stoop walk talk and sitBe exposed to heat humidity dust rain snow and other weather and adverse environmental ability to travel between locationsRESPONSIBILITIESMake practice plans and prepare the team to compete in all practices and games including supervising on the bus to and from away games.
