Job Description
Job Vacancy: General Foreman
Our client is a wellestablished Construction Company operating in the built environment.
They are currentlyare currently seeking a General Foreman to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for site setup and layout
- Manage and meet project budgets
- Supervise onsite staff and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with occupational Health Safety & Environment requirements
- Procure materials and equipment efficiently
- Ensure project timelines and milestones are met
Minimum Requirements:
- NQF Trade Certificate/Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of a Matriculation/Diploma (Bricklaying Carpentry Plumbing Electrical etc.
- National Technical Diploma/Certificate/Diploma in Construction
- Formal Certificate/Diploma in Health Safety & Environment Management
- Valid drivers license required
Preferred Competencies:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory capacity
- Indepth knowledge of construction site Health Safety & Environment requirements
- Proven track record managing personnel resources onsite
- Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with subcontractors and other service providers
- Cost management expertise
- Ability to read and comprehend construction site architectural/engineering drawings
