Job Description
- Location: Watertown New York 13601
- Shift: 12 hour VARYING shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2268 - $2412
Responsibilities:
- Perform general vascular and obstetric ultrasound examinations as directed by physicians.
- Ensure image quality and patient safety during diagnostic procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of major medical sonography equipment including both hardware and software.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by the department.
- Follow department-specific protocols and comply with quality assurance guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography.
- Minimum 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience with specific training and experience in Medical Sonography.
- Vascular and obstetric ultrasound experience is required.
- Registered or Registry Eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current BCLS certification is required.
- Strong understanding of anatomy physiology and medical terminology.
- Department-specific training is required.
Skills:
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with general ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 60 miles.
