Principal Eastside School
We are looking for a dynamic collaborative principal to guide the team at Eastside School one of two schools in the Coos Bay School District serving kindergarten through secondgrade students. Our new administrative team member will work closely with staff to foster an environment where students thrive academically and socially. Emphasis will be placed on supporting and advancing literacy initiatives with the support of the Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention (ORTIi) alongside schoolwide improvement efforts targeting math instruction attendance behavior support and student engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for improving student outcomes and contributing to a positive inclusive school culture.

Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership: Collaborate with building staff to implement best practices in literacy instruction with the support of the Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention (ORTIi) to improve student reading outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge of elementary math content standards and ability to lead standardsbased instruction.
School Culture and Climate: Foster a positive school climate that promotes high expectations for academic achievement student behavior and attendance. Lead efforts to improve schoolwide attendance and behavior interventions.
Building Management: Oversee and manage school scheduling discretionary and student body funds contractual compliance building maintenance and security.
Student Support and Management: Utilize MultiTiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for academics and behavior ensuring all students receive the appropriate support to succeed.
Parent and Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with families and the community to support student success.
Staff Development: Work with teachers and staff to ensure quality professional development and effective instructional practices including teacher evaluations and of Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze student data including academic attendance and behavior trends to inform decisions and create improvement strategies.
Program and Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with Oregon state laws including Special Education 504 plans and Federal programs such as Title I Title IX and Title X.
