Primary Focus

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator at Canadas Drug Agency plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Marketing and Communications team. They will assist in executing internal and external communication plans and marketing campaigns managing content coordinating events and maintaining social media channels while ensuring effective communication with key clients and interested parties.

What do the daily responsibilities look like

On any given day the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will:

  • support the planning and of communication marketing and events plans ensuring a content calendar is developed and maintained and team members are aware of priorities at all times
  • assist in creating and editing materials such as presentations newsletters and social media content ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging strategies
  • support the distribution of content across various marketing and communications channels
  • assist the events team with logistics for inperson and virtual events
  • support the preparation of reports on social media analytics and other marketing and communications key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • work with team members to support updating lists including key messaging media requests questions and answers (Q&As) and so forth
  • work collaboratively with partners in other business units to ensure efficient information sharing and updates as required.

Is this the right role for you

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will likely have:

  • a postsecondary education in Marketing Communications Public Relations or a related field and 2 years of experience in a similar role; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • experience using project management or team management software such as MS Planner Wrike Monday or similar
  • a proactive approach and resourcefulness to finding solutions and adapting to changing priorities
  • strong organizational and timemanagement skills
  • the ability to build and foster trusting relationships internally and externally
  • exceptional communication skills including both verbal and written
  • a creative and proactive mindset with a focus on problemsolving
  • proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word Outlook Teams PowerPoint Planner).

  • previous experience working on a marketing and communications team or in a similar role in a health or pharmaceutical environment
  • basic knowledge of marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics Mailchimp Hootsuite)
  • fluency in French.
