Hybrid: This means the successful candidate is expected to report to their primary location (Milford MI) three times per week at minimum.

Relocation:

The Role:

Vehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls (VMEC) is a team that is comprised of inclusive and diverse Agile teams where everyone has a voice in the conversation. VMEC is a production level group that supports the definition design and development of all embedded controllers that impact vehicle motion. Thermal Runaway Propagation (TRP) is focused on the development and of diagnostics and prognostics to detect and prevent thermal runaway in the High Voltage Battery System.

VMEC TRP Team is seeking creative highly motivated agile problem solvers with passion and expertise in Embedded Controls and great attention to detail. The selected candidate will develop diagnostic and prognostic algorithms using telemetry data analysis & best practices for VMEC features and support the growth capabilities to keep us at the forefront of emerging technology.
This role will provide leadership in these areas across the VMEC TRP organization in both a strategic and tactical manor! The ideal candidate will be comfortable working primarily with hand code C and have some experience with autocode from Simulink models.

What Youll do:

  • Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Scrum Teams (Prevengers) content
  • Collaborate with the Program Management Team to refine the Program Vision Roadmap and Program Backlog
  • Collaborate with System Architect to determine Enablers and coordinate Enabler Rollout
  • Coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Managers when deliverables are dependent on other Teams for completion attending PO synchronizations as needed
  • Refine maintain and prioritize the Team Backlog
  • Work closely with Scrum Team Leader to ascertain Team capacity
  • Translate product and feature strategy into User Stories assisting Scrum Team with Story definition estimation and sequencing for Program Increment Planning events
  • Work daytoday with the Scrum Teams clarifying requirements constantly communicating and gaining alignment around Feature or Product Strategy
  • Provide clearly defined acceptance criteria to enable Behavior Driven (BDD) and TestDriven Development (TDD)
  • Provide guidance for System Demonstration Strategy during Story creation (unit integration and system level test strategy)
  • Verify Stories are testable and can be used to generate testing objectives
  • Ensure validation and testing of features occurs prior to End User Acceptance
  • Ensure the technical integrity of the product is maintained and enable the solution to address program priorities (Features and Enablers) thoroughly addressing anomalies and other quality concerns in a timely manner
  • Accept each story and participate in Team Demonstrations and Retrospectives to validate quality providing feedback to team and improving team processes
  • Validate that Stories meet their predetermined acceptance criteria have appropriate persistent Acceptance tests and otherwise comply with Definition of Done (DoD)
  • Participate in the following Team and Program Events: Program Increment Planning Iteration Retrospectives ART Inspection and Adapt sessions PO/ART Synchronizations
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Scrum Team members
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics Information Technology Information Security Cybersecurity or other applicable Engineering focuses.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in jobrelated area required
  • Knowledge of Electrification and diagnostics
  • Ability to set and balance priorities efficiently
  • Strong ability to function within and drive change.
  • Scaled Agile or Agile experience (SAFe)
  • Understanding of Embedded Controls Development & Delivery Process
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with autonomy and accountability for results

  • MS in Engineering Electrical Mechanical Computer or Computer Science
  • Indepth knowledge of algorithm/software development and calibration of vehicle motion controls
  • Strong understanding of major automotive or Battery Management Systems
  • Experience in plant modeling and analysis tools MIL SIL HIL Testing
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
  • Strong partnership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers in a fastpaced environment
  • High level of integrity ability to deal with ambiguity take initiative/selfdirected
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity honesty accountability and trust
  • Consistent demonstration of innovative thinking that is customercentric
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink modeling
