QUALIFICATIONS: K12 Curriculum Program Administrator or K12 Building Level Administrator
(District Level Administrator Preferred)
Three Years of Teaching Experience (Preferred)
Masters Degree in Subject/Specialty Area/Sec Ed or Administration Advanced Degree Preferred)

REPORTS TO: Deputy Superintendent for Learning Services
JOB GOAL: To serve as a leader resource to the instructional program by
collaborating with administrators and certified staff to provide current research example observation feedback professional development instructional leadership appropriate material/resource selection and dissemination of PCSSD practices and policies.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and monitor English Social Studies Foreign Language Programs Math Science Elementary CTE and Computer Science Programs (as applicable); applicable Planned Course Statements are current and on file; and ensure state compliance and vertical and horizontal alignment exists.
- Assist in coordinating developing and monitoring CTE Computer Science and Engineering programs throughout the district.
- Collaborate with DESE content specialists to ensure that PCSSD educators are aware of and engaged in statedirected initiatives.
- Assist in developing and coordinating blended learning supports for traditional blended and virtual environments.
- Consult regularly with the Deputy Superintendent and principals to support achieving the deliverables and goals identified in the District Strategic Plan regarding English Social Studies foreign language endeavors and instructional leadership.
- Operate as an advocate for and supporter of inquiry and problembased learning.
- Provide guidance and coaching to staff on educational and instructional methodology related to inquiry and implementing projectbased learning and phenomenonbased learning principles.
- Facilitate the process of curriculum adaptation ultimately assisting with selecting purchasing and distributing appropriate instructional equipment supplies and resources.
- Ensure all English Social Studies Foreign Language and STEM areas of responsibility are current and represented on the Curriculum & Instruction Portal for access to parents teachers and administrators.
- Assist in coordinating and promoting Literacy and STEM opportunities districtwide including afterschool summer school and/or extracurricular activities across grade levels.
- Develop and facilitate a curriculum and assessment PLC coalition that includes multiple disciplinary educators throughout the district.
- Monitor equitable representation of students in Literacy Social Studies and Foreign Language programs and activities.
- Represent the district through InterDistrict and professional Literacy and STEM PLCs and Coalitions.
- Assist the Deputy Superintendent in researching and grant writing to support programming.
- Develop plan and provide jobembedded quality professional development to assist administrators instructional coaches and other certified staff in the implementation of Arkansas State Standards to include twentyfirst century researchedbased best practices sound pedagogy higherorder thinking skills effective
integration of blended instructional technology and presentation of new trends according to research
including strategies for challenging learners.
- Stay abreast of new ideas and innovations concerning instructional leadership classroom instruction and pedagogy curriculum and current research and be able to implement these ideas into the districts overall plan and vision.
- Facilitate the process of engaging instructional stakeholders in reviewing and revising the districts curriculum annually.
- Direct the curriculum and instructional technology adoption process in a blended learning environment as outlined in the board policy and secure the needed resources.
- Develop plan and provide jobembedded quality professional development to assist administrators instructional coaches and other certified staff in leadership practices to include twentyfirstcentury researchbased best practices sound pedagogy higherorder thinking skills effective integration of blended instructional technology and presentation of new trends according to research.
- Assist with data collection and analysis with stakeholders input for continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing disseminating disaggregation analyzing and interpreting formative and interim assessment data to help schools and the district develop a plan for continuous improvement.
- Assist the Deputy Superintendent in developing and building the instructional leadership capacity of districtand buildinglevel administrators coordinators and instructional coaches.
- Assist with PLCs and building jobembedded professional development throughout the district.
- Conduct school and classroom visits observations and consultations and provide narratives according to principals that may be used to guide them in teacher evaluation and instructional leaders to assist in building educator capacity for continuous school improvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional practices and devise plans for system improvement.
- Provide individualized schoolbased support by engaging instructional leadership in a continuous cycle of improvement that includes program evaluation and data analysis determining the next steps for increased learning outcomes.
- Develop opportunities that focus on increasing student achievement.
- Annually assist in the review and evaluation of blended learning programs.
- Collaborate with other members of Learning Services and the Superintendents cabinet to ensure continuity of program delivery throughout the district and increase student achievement in all schools.
- Collaborate with the deputy superintendent to ensure that learning service directors and coordinators support schools by conducting instructional focus walks and providing feedback and next steps to principals as part of a cycle of improvement.
- Assist in evaluating and supervising districtlevel coordinators and building principals using LEADS.
- Support and assist the district in meeting the goals of the District Strategic Plan and individual school improvement plans.
- Update and disperse Fieldtrip Guidelines and Private Vehicle Form
- Gather Special Events Days for state reporting
- Update and disperse the Retention Packet as needed
Organize the Course Catalog
- Meet with counselors at the Registration Meeting on the summer school process for the year.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Teachers Salary Schedule X Index Factor
Length of Contract: 244 days per year
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated according to the provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
