Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This role supports recruitment hiring and onboarding efforts in close collaboration with both HR and management. The ideal candidate will also help foster a positive workplace culture through consistent communication and the modeling of professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR and management to assess staffing needs and plan recruitment efforts.
  • Draft and post job advertisements; screen resumes and forward qualified candidates to management.
  • Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interview logistics including scheduling and calendar management.
  • Maintain and update candidate status in the Paychex HRIS system.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation ensuring clear communication around expectations dress code and onboarding procedures.
  • Process new hires in systems including Paychex Aloha and HotSchedules.
  • Maintain uptodate employee records including I9s onboarding paperwork employee files and other required documentation in both digital and physical formats.
  • Manage EVerify and process Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) documentation.
  • Perform general HR administrative duties including filing and rotating reception coverage.
  • Support additional HR initiatives and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of human resources principles practices data entry and organizing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Paychex or similar payroll systems is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a human resources or administrative support role with demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute to team success.
  • Degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is preferred.
