About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB
(This is not a state position)
University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (UEC) supports the universitys educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. Were responsible for business enterprises on campus including but not limited to dining bookstore convenience store and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal state and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary Part Time NonBenefited position through 12/31/2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $25.00$35.00 per hour.
Location: Palm Desert.
Work Schedule
Up to 19 hours per week. Typically MondayFriday within the hours of 8:00 am 5:00 pm though some nights weekend work may be required.

Under minimal supervision of the CVWBC Director the Business Counselor will work independently to:

- Breakeven and Pro Forma analysis
- Retail and Merchandising
- Food and Catering
- Makers and Product Development
- Tourism
- Features & Benefits
- Manufacturing or Assembly Process
- Market Research
- Industry Sizing
- Customer Segmentation
- Target Market
- Marketing Mix
- Strategy and Tactics
- Sales Planning
- Digital advertising
- Costs: COGS/COSS Fixed Costs and Start Up Costs
- Using Excel To Create Financials
- Projections: Revenue Break Even and Profit
- Statements: Profit and Loss Cash Flow and Balance Sheets
- Owners Investment
- SBA loans
- Microloans
Travel as required to perform cross countywide job functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a businessrelated field is preferred;
- or equivalent experience in business management;
- or equivalent experience in financial analysis;
- or Bachelors degree in any field with either two years of businessmanagement or business ownership.
- Other:
- Be able to offer consulting expertise in 1 or more areas in businessmanagement items 19.Current or past small business owner.
