Job Description
Bill Wright Golf Complex at Jefferson Park is looking for an experienced and motivatedHead Golf Professionalto lead all aspects of our highvolume 18hole championship golf course and 9hole short course. This is a handson leadership role that requires strong operational expertise a passion for growing the game and the ability to create an exceptional experience for golfers of all skill levels.
- Class A PGA Membershipis preferred butexperienced Assistant Golf Professionals and PGA Associatesin good standing will be considered.
- Previous experience as aHead Golf Professionalor ahighly experienced Assistant Golf Professionalat a highvolume facility is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing golf operations staff leadership tournament and customer engagement.
- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills with a handson leadbyexample approach.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to create a welcoming and professional environment.
- Ability to multitask stay organized and problemsolve in a fastpaced environment.
- Passion for player development community engagement and growing the game of golf.
- Flexible schedule including weekends holidays and peak golf season hours.
- Golf Operations & Customer Experience
- Oversee all aspects of daily golf operations ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all golfers.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a strong presence around the course and clubhouse engaging with golfers and staff to ensure high service standards.
- Staff Management & Leadership
- Recruit train schedule and manage golf operations staff including pro shop attendants outside service personnel and assistants.
- Foster a positive teamoriented work environment ensuring staff is motivated and wellequipped to provide toptier service.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Tournaments & Leagues
- Plan organize and execute tournaments leagues and special events ensuring seamless operations and great player experiences.
- Collaborate with local golf organizations community groups and municipal partners to expand golf participation.
- Compile detailed records of all nongolf related facility usage for internal tracking.
- Administrative & Financial Oversight
- Manage tee time reservations pace of play and course utilization to optimize efficiency.
- Oversee pro shop operations including merchandise selection inventory control and retail sales strategies.
- Assist with financial reporting and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations safety protocols and municipal policies.
- Annual Salary Range: $78000 $79000 with additional earning opportunities through private instruction and merchandise sales commission.
