Responsibly is a fast-growing and VC-backed start-up operating at the cutting edge of AI and sustainability and with a vision of making every purchase in the world responsible.
Were founded by serial entrepreneurs with previous successes like Ofload Dixa Neurons and more and are funded by some of Europes top VCs and angels.
Were at the most exciting part of our journey (yet!) where the product is being picked up by some of the biggest companies out there. The growth journey ahead is exciting and ahead of Series A were ready to strengthen our financial and planning foundation by hiring in the first ever Head of Finance.

Look you probably already know that there are not many bigger problems out there than the climate but did you know that more than 40% of global emissions or really any ESG issue are directly or indirectly impacted by procurement Thats because companies have an incredible amount of power (purchasing power) when selecting and managing suppliers so if we can put sustainability on every supplier scorecard out there we really can change the world.
But its hard! A company will have anywhere from 100 - 100000 suppliers and analyzing each of their sustainability efforts is an impossible task and most ESG ratings suck.
Thats what were trying to change. Responsiblys ai-powered due diligence engine automates the due diligence on every supplier across every single esg data point on your suppliers (from risk and violations to positive actions) and turns that into insights to ultimately help companies build more sustainable supply chains.

Tasks
What youll be doing
Youre stepping into the CEOs shoes to:
Lead all things money:
- Accounting payroll invoices cashflow ESOP and all admin around money coming in and money going out. This is already fairly small and automated and mostly outsourced but youll take charge of it analyzing it and optimizing it so were ready to scale.
- All internal financial models
Lead reporting and investor relations:
- Investor reporting P&L and cash flow models internal reporting. Including supporting different functions on what to report on and how to do it.
- Board operations - how do we best manage our board meetings memos prep etc.
Lead and support on our internal planning and strategy
- Youll join the leadership team and youll be one of our CEOs primary sparring partners on strategy hiring planning etc.
- Lead our internal governance and leadership coordination.
Lead fundraising operations for our Series A and beyond:
- Owning the data room
- Owning the planning and investor lists
- join and over time take investor calls
Requirements
So who do we think is the magician that can do all of that
- MBB or similar financial experience in scale-up: you are a high performer and have demonstrated youre excellent with finance strategy analytics and generally problem solving.
- Entrepreneurial experience or ambition: youve either been through the journey before or you want to and knows what it takes.
- Analytical and structured: it goes without saying that excel and modelling is a language you speak fluently. Youre super structured and can easily navigate complexity.
- Attention to detail: You can easily identify the odd number out when looking at a financial report.
- Growth mindset and ambition: you want to be the best at what you do love to learn and thrive in a fast-moving environment
- High degree of ownership: you take ownership of your work lead it independently and attack unfamiliar problems with enthusiasm and a bias for action.
- Get-sh*t-done attitude: youre impatient results-focused and want to execute and get your hands dirty. Youre motivated by results and progress.
- Resourcefulness: whatever youll need to succeed youll find and use; whether in your network outsourced help or convincing the CEO to give you more resources.
