Tasks What to expect from us:
- Responsible to generate promote and evaluate innovative ideas across all the series released products to reduce product costs without compromising the product functionality quality safety performance and regulatory requirements
- Analyze designs materials and manufacturing processes and benchmark products and processes to suggest alternatives
- Coordinating monitoring and assigning work packages to the VAVE support team (Value Analysis & Value Engineering)
- Responsibility for driving cost reduction measures end to end and reporting the savings
- Responsibility for preparing and monitoring project milestones deliverables business cases and savings achieved while maintaining relevant reports and documentation
- Identification of potential risks and preparation of mitigation plans
- Accountable for implementing the identified measures in series production and contributing towards Projects annual Cost Reduction targets
- Interdisciplinary cooperation with the engineering procurement and production departments as well as with suppliers at several global locations
Qualifications Who we are looking for:
- Successfully completed technical or scientific studies
- Several years of project management experience and experience with multiproject management
- Understanding of product design development change management and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (preferably PTC Creo and Windchill) SAP DFMEA ISO GD&T standards DFA/DFM principles
- Knowledge of cost estimation tools or VAVE an advantage
- Relevant experience with combustion engines and Generator Systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English and German
