Job Description
A leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a skilled Electrical Consulting Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to be part of a company known for delivering highquality engineering solutions across diverse sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specification of electrical building services including power lighting and reticulation systems
- Conduct site inspections project management and technical reporting
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation in compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Collaborate with clients architects and other engineering disciplines
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng or BSc)
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or in progress
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a consulting engineering environment
- Proven experience in electrical building services design
- Proficient in software such as AutoCAD Revit and electrical calculation tools
- Strong communication and clientfacing skills
Additional Advantageous Skills:
- Experience in green building and sustainable design principles
- Knowledge of SANS standards and municipal requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
