Purpose
Contributes to the success of the US Investment Grade Cash Trading Desk which is a part of Global Fixed Income ensuring specific individual goals plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations internal policies and procedures

What Youll Do

• Champions a customerfocused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.
• Support the Debt Capital Markets franchise through trading in the secondary bond market
• Drive revenue and trading volumes through interactions with our clients and prudent risk taking
• Fosters new and existing client relationships in addition to crossselling existing relationships across other areas and product groups.
• Understands how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
• Manage trading inventories and generate trading revenues in compliance with limits and the banks risk profile.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
• Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

What Youll Bring

• Holds relevant bachelors degree (Commerce Finance Economics Mathematics or related discipline)
• CFA designation an asset
• SIE Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
• Associated Person of swap dealer. NFA Swap Proficiency Requirement within 30 days
• Strong financial and computer literacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask excellent problem resolution and time management skills
• Ability to respond to enquiries quickly and effectively with confidence
• Strong work ethic with a high level of attention to detail
• Energetic with a keen desire to learn new concepts
