About Global Kids Inc.: Global Kids Inc.s mission is to educate inspire and mobilize youth to become global citizens who are positively engaged in the world and prepared for their future. We focus on four key pillars to support young people in thriving: Social Emotional Learning Academic Achievement College & Career Readiness and Global Education. Through a variety of schoolday and afterschool programs as well as enriching summer learning initiatives Global Kids aims to set students on the path to achieving longterm goals by ensuring they have the attention and resources needed for high school and postsecondary success.
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Global Citizenship team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain handson experience in planning and executing educational and community outreach initiatives. The intern will play a key role in supporting the team with various tasks related to the annual youth conference workshop facilitation and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and organizing the annual youth conference
- Create flyers and promotional materials for events and workshops
- Conduct community outreach to engage and inform local communities
- Facilitate Global Education workshops for youth participants
- Interact with youth to foster a supportive and engaging environment
- Track attendance and maintain accurate records
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant academic program (e.g. Education Social Work Communications)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with community outreach and youth engagement is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design software (e.g. Canva) is desirable
- Passion for global education and youth empowerment
