Gambling Commission Career Opportunity
The Gambling Commissions Business and Financial Services (BFS) team is looking for someone to fill atwoyear nonpermanent Procurement/Supply Specialist 2. This position oversees all noncontract purchases. Our ideal team member will be analytical customer focused and adaptable and flexible to changing business needs.
BFS provides support for agency priorities through quality financial and operational management including budgeting contracting grant management fiscal monitoring purchasing and accounting services. Additionally BFS is responsible for ensuring financial compliance with state and federal laws regulations and reporting requirements.
This fulltime position is located at our Headquarters in Lacey Washington.
The Procurement & Supply Specialist 2 position supports the agency and its mission by planning coordinating and performing procurement of services supplies materials parts and equipment in accordance with state laws and requirements. Additionally this position processes employee training requests tracks agency inventory and manages facilitiesrelated issues.

As the agencys purchasing specialist youll be responsible for the procurement of goods ensuring state agency and federal laws and regulations are followed. As the training registrar youll maintain records and process training requests enrolling employees in classes conferences and more. Youll also maintain the systems for inventory and serve as the point of contact for facility and equipment maintenance or repairs.
Required Education and Experience
Each of the following items are required. Computer skills may be gained either on the job or via course work.
The WSGC is a licensing regulatory and law enforcement agency. Therefore applicants must be willing to undergo and be able to pass an extensive background investigation which includes a criminal history check credit check and fingerprinting. Applicants will be required to sign a release authorizing the background investigation. Information obtained from background checks will not necessarily preclude employment.
