Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete daily safety checks of all park attractions and report repair or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform minor repairs on windows doors desks tables plugs equipment appliances sinks toilets blinds etc.
- Replace and fix woodwork throughout the park as directed (benches handrails tables decking etc.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters and material handling equipment.
- Perform light plumbing duties repairing faucets toilets and irrigation lines.
- Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces as required.
- Assist and facilitate the set up of special events and activities.
- Support with snow removal in the winter months.
- Complete projects within the specific time constraints given.
- Occasionally assist with offsite requests.
- Support and follow the Capilano Standards for inventory and waste management.
- Be alert to hazards and immediately report safety issues and concerns.
- Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment & clothing is worn at all times.
- Know and follow the health and safety requirements & regulations of Capilano.
- Encourage fellow TMs to follow the health and safety requirements & regulations.
Qualifications:
- One 1 year of general labor or related trades experience.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of team members.
- Strong guest service orientation.
- First Aid level 1 or higher a strong asset.
