As Welder II you will perform a full range of MIG and TIG welding operations on a variety of parts components and other miscellaneous items.
Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor this position is based in Shreveport LA.

Essential Job Functions:
- Work from routing sheets blueprints weld procedures written and verbal instructions.
- Weld seams ensuring strength and neat appearance on certified work.
- Interpret drawings; position fit block clamp and tack parts to obtain proper alignment.
- Select proper welding equipment and material prescribed; regulate current voltage and pressure for proper fusion of metals.
- Exercise care in welding to insure proper technique. Check welds for adherence to specifications. Rework as necessary.
- Exercise proper care in the use of tools equipment and materials.
- Detect and report faulty equipment improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Perform a full range of MIG and TIG welding operations to weld on a variety of parts components and other miscellaneous items.
- Perform any and all weld jobs in the manufacturing area including tacking spot welding and various aspects of miscellaneous welding.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 35 years welding experience required
- Stand and walk on concrete up to 100 of workday
- Ability to bend stoop kneel and crouch occasionally
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Pass a weld test of various MIG and TIG operations
