Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder III to join our this advanced-level role youll work under the direction of the Welding Lead and handle welding projects with minimal supervision. Youll use various welding techniques-mainly TIG and MIG-to fabricate or repair parts and structures based on blueprints or work orders. You may also guide or assign work to other welders. If youre experienced in welding metals of different shapes and thicknesses and can weld in multiple positions (vertical horizontal overhead) we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow blueprints layouts and welding specifications

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding to fuse metal components

  • Weld metals of different sizes shapes and thicknesses

  • Ensure proper penetration and fusion using the correct electrodes

  • Perform custom fabrication production or structural welding

  • Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment

  • Use electric air and power tools as needed

  • Guide or assign tasks to other welders when asked

  • Track and manage jobs in the Made2Manage (M2M) system

Additional Duties

  • Use a plasma cutter when required

  • Assemble parts and subassemblies

  • Operate material handling equipment (forklift hoist pallet jack)

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • 5 years of experience as a Welder II or 3 years with welding certification and relevant coursework

  • Previous experience in a machine shop preferred

  • Strong knowledge of welding tools materials and safety procedures

  • Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately with a tape measure

  • Experience with forklifts pallet jacks and hoists is a plus
