The role

We are seeking an accomplished broker with superior relationship development skills to join the NSW team in a national role. As the successful applicant you will take responsibility for the identification and acquisition of new clients throughout Australia. You will be responsible for securing new business through building relationships with members of existing partner associations. To win business you will engage with internal stakeholders such as technical brokers and externally with underwriters to provide complex risk advice and place a comprehensive suite of insurance products. Once a letter of appointment is secured you and the local broker/s will implement a predetermined account management plan for ongoing service.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create build and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed targets;
  • Develop new relationships to increase quote traffic win new business and increase products per policy ratio by cross selling
  • Coordinate internal sales activity and provide referrals to the team
  • Keep abreast monitor and report on competitor activity
  • Understand insurance and industry specific trends and challenges that face the association and its members
  • Build a strong individual and company profile
  • There may be the opportunity for leadership duties based upon experience/interest.

Your Details:

  • Prior successful employment in a relationshipbased sales roles within the Insurance industry and thorough understanding of the General Insurance market
  • Previous experience in driving new business in a brokerage is essential
  • Possess sales leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Leadership skills develop in a similar role or through a senior broking position is desired but not essential
