Job Description
Client
The project stems from the acquisition by a global PE firm of two companies from a third in a well established financial services company. The project is to carve out the two companies leaving three standalone companies.
Role
Specific Skills:
- Strong azure knowledge and hands on capability
- Able to design and manage cost effective cloud environment
- Security background
- Able to work with applications team to create integrated environment
General Background:
- Architecture Design:Design and architect robust scalable and secure infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of the organization considering factors such as performance availability and costeffectiveness.
- Infrastructure Implementation:Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects including cloudbased solutions network architecture server infrastructure storage systems and virtualization technologies.
- Security Planning and Implementation:Develop comprehensive security strategies and implement best practices to safeguard the organizations systems data and networks against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation plans to address them effectively.
- Compliance and Regulatory Compliance:Ensure that the organizations infrastructure and security systems comply with relevant industry standards regulations and compliance requirements.
- Incident Response and Disaster Recovery:Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to address security incidents effectively. Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a system failure or cyber attack.
- Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including IT operations and management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on emerging technologies security threats and industry best practices. Continuously evaluate and improve the organizations infrastructure and security posture to ensure ongoing effectiveness and relevance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure architecture network design and security architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and infrastructureascode principles.
- Proficiency in network protocols routing switching and firewall technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP CCSP AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Logistics
Start date:The project will commence at 6 months duration and pending satisfactory performance continue for at least 13 years
There are three / four roles that are required in the short term the fourth may be required later.
Location:Sydney (Remote possible for the right candidate)
Rate:The daily rate to the consultant will be$1200per day paid plus gst to the right professional.
ApplicationClose date:No later than Monday 6th May 2024 4pm AEST
APTs must be lodged within 48 hours.We will review all APTs and select the best 3 for the client. The client will then conduct interviews.
