Overview
We have a tremendous opportunity for a Manager Accountant to play a key role on our Tax team. We have openings for candidates residing in and around Albany New York. As a highly valued member of our Firm you will work closely with the Tax team to provide timely accurate and reliable completion of client join an organization that focuses on work/life balance for all of our employees!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or review complex business and individual tax returns
- Develop effective working relationships with clients to provide innovative tax planning consulting and compliance services
- Ability to identify and research tax issues develop resolutions and prepare written conclusions
- Assist with the developing training and mentoring of staff and interns
- Recognize the opportunity to provide new and innovative services
- Willingness to learn new tax skills that the diverse client base at The Bonadio Group offers. Not limited to: public company tax services banking and financial industry tax services international crossborder and expatriate compliance services and transaction advisory services
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in accounting
- An active CPA certification or EA
- A minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude to learn firm technology present and future
Preferred:
- Experience with ProSystems Engagement software
- Experience with tax research software
The salary range is between $80000 and $100000 and is commensurate with experience.
Hours of Operation:
- Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
- We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
