POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Escorts primary function is to provide day to day security in support of security facility construction efforts.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Escort uncleared workers to the restroom break rooms lunch areas and other areas as required while keeping them in sigh while in secured environments.
  • Observe uncleared workers while they perform their work duties to ensure they are not accessing sensitive or classified areas documents and/or line of sight of escorted personnel equipment and vehicles at all times.
  • Ensure all security protocols are strictly adhered to by all personnel and visitors.
  • Ensure that all persons packages bags boxes crates vehicles or other means of introducing material onto the construction site or into the secure areas are inspected for questionable or prohibited items.
  • Read write and speak English fluently.
  • Report on daily activities and any security incidents or safety concerns.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in construction surveillance security or a related field is preferred but not required.



ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Attention to detail and strong observational skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work without direct supervision



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.



EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be currently possess an active Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Must read write and speak English fluently.
  • Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be able to pass an initial background check.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential
  • ASI is a Drug Free Workplace where applicants and employees are required to successfully pass preemployment and Random drug testing.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

  • Must be able to stand sit bend walk kneel and other related physical activities for long periods of time.
  • Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight typically less than 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus



WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work may be indoors or outdoors and include a variety of weather conditions.
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Machinery operation or proximity requires the use of safety equipment to include but is not limited to eye safety glasses hearing protectors work boots and hardhats. Loosefitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in an open bay manufacturing area.
