I have a client located on the north side of Dallas TX that has an immediate need for a Lead Substation Physical Designer. If you or anyone you know is qualified and interested in the position listed below please click Apply Now

As a Lead Substation Designer you will be responsible for production of detailed plans for high and medium voltage physical substation improvements. Our clients include utilities municipalities and cooperatives. Every individual is responsible for producing a high quality work product while fostering a high level of client satisfaction. This is a senior level position and you will be expected to take responsibility for preparation of complete and accurate plans and details. Your work will be supervised by the Substation Manager and project Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 (five) years of physical substation design experience required Ideal applicants will have 10 years of related experience
  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office products.

Dailyduties:

  • Substation Site Plans
  • Substation Arrangements and Elevations
  • Conduit Plans and Schedules
  • Bus Cutting Schedules and Details
  • Grounding Plans and Details
  • Foundation Layouts and Detailing
  • Steel Structure Detailing
  • Bills of Materials
  • Interface with clients as needed
