Great facility $1500/weekly pay
- Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist following physician referral and therapists plan of care in compliance with New Mexico state laws.
- Deliver skilled treatment for functional mobility motor function muscular strengthening sensation wound care ambulation balance social and environmental needs.
- Serve patients across the lifespan according to caseload demands.
- Assist in coordinating and providing patient family and caregiver education to promote independence upon discharge.
- Collaborate and consult with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Accurately document patient progress and treatment meeting APTA guidelines and billing requirements in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational programs quality improvement initiatives and program development.
- Complete non-patient care responsibilities as assigned.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities and support the marketing of physical therapy services.
- May occasionally work weekends as required.
- Demonstrate competency in age-specific patient needs and maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information.
- Adhere to risk management quality management and safety protocols.
- Must be a graduate of a nationally-accredited PTA program and eligible for licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board.
- BLS certification required prior to employment.
- Must be able to safely transfer an average adult patient (approximately 150 lbs).
- Basic computer skills and ability to independently schedule and manage patient care required.
